Anthony McConnell is the Superintendent of Schools at Lemont-Bromberek School District 113A in Lemont, IL. Anthony began his career as a high school social studies and English language teacher at Rock Island High School in Rock Island, IL. As a school administrator, Anthony has served as both an assistant principal and principal as well as an assistant superintendent. As principal of Kipling Elementary School in Deerfield, IL, Anthony led the school in construction of STEM learning spaces, implementation of 1:1 learning, and adoption of The Leader in Me process.In his final year as principal, Kipling was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Anthony obtained his bachelor’s degree in history and anthropology from Western Kentucky University, and his master’s degree and doctorate in educational leadership from Western Illinois University.
