Krish Mohip spent his career working in education. He started his career working as a Kindergarten teacher for the Chicago Public Schools. While there he served in the positions of Assistant Principal, Principal, Deputy Chief of Schools, and Chief of Schools. He also served as a member of the CEO's Executive Cabinet. Mr. Mohip left the Chicago Public Schools in 2016 after being recruited by the State of Ohio to lead the 1st State-Led Transformation of an entire district. During his time there as the CEO, he was able to realize many successes in student outcomes, most notably increasing the graduation rate by 15% in just 3 years. He returned to Illinois in 2019 to serve on the senior leadership team at the Illinois State Board of Education where he is currently the Deputy Education Officer. He is married to his best friend, Erin and together raise their three children, Noah, Bella, and Riley.
